lyrics

Verse 1:
I got home and it's late at night, i'm really, really drunk and not feeling alright. I'm trying to remember all the hours before, all the things I did and what I saw.
I can't remember if I met up with you, I'm realy confused and don't know what to do, should I give you a call to see if you're alright, if we hung out earlier on tonight or should I call you and tell you the truth, let my drunk self speak say I've fallen for you cause.

Pre-Chorus:
I feel it's the right thing thing to do,
To tell you after all this time that i've fallen for you.

Chorus:
If only I could speak my mind, I wouldn't get drunk time after time.
If only I could speak my mind, maybe I'd call you sober tonight.

Verse 2:
When I start drinking I'm not thinking about the things that I'll be doing later, I'm drinking to forget about the past, change this slow night, make it go by fast.
But when the booze finally reaches my blood, you're all I talk about and the feelings just flood, straight back right into my head and as the night goes on I knew I shouldn't have said.

Pre-Chorus:
It felt like the right thing to do,
To tell you after all this time, that i've fallen for you.

Chorus:
If only I could speak my mind, I wouldn't get drunk time after time.
If only I could speak my mind, maybe I'd call you sober tonight.

Verse 3:
Alcohol has impeded my visions, made me do dumb things and make poor decisions. I probably shouldn't have had the triple shots cause i'm on the floor and I'm spewing my guts.
The security guards are looking after me, i'm so blind drunk more than I've ever been. I'm an embarrassment for other to be around, so they walk away and they leave me on the ground.

Pre-Chorus:
This was a really stupid thing to do,
But now I'm blind drunk, I think i'll call you.

Chorus:
If only I could speak my mind, I wouldn't get drunk time after time.
If only I could speak my mind, maybe I'd call you sober tonight.
Tonight, Tonight.
